Usiba
Noncwadi is a 4 piece acoustic
soul band from Motherwell, PE.
It was formed in September 2005.
The band members are Ohayv
(vocals, piano), Hodiel
(bass, poetry, acoustic), Seemkhai
(acoustic guitar) and Yahav
(drums).
The band
puts together soulful sounds that are
acoustic driven.
Listening to the music you are surely
to be inspired as they combine musical
elements that people from different backgrounds
can relate to and identify with. They
define their music as “acoustic soul”.

They
are self taught musicians who have dedicated
themselves into putting together simple
music for the ears and with a Godly message
showing the youth of today that with God
everything is possible, anyone with this
formula can achieve true freedom and all
possibilities.
The band has performed with South Africa’s
biggest names from Ringo Madlingozi, Siphokazi,
Vusi Mahlasela, McCoy Mrubata, Gloria
Bosman, Don Laka, to mention a few and
the band was one of the three PE artists
to perform at the Metro fm awards 2006.

Ncwadification.alive
Usiba
Noncwadi recently released their debut
album called “ncwadification.alive” which
was recorded live in front of an audience
at the Opera House: The Barn on the 22nd
of November 2008.
The album was officially launched on the
21st of March 2009 at the Opera House
and since then it has sold hundreds of
copies by hand and only in PE and soon
the band plans to tour the country to
push more CD sales and to introduce people
to these acoustic soul sounds. |
